Driver Operational Text Messages
SMS Consent and Opt-In Process
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Optimal Inc and Collazo Corp are the two delivery companies operating as Coloptics, and both send text messages to their own drivers. This page sets out how they collect consent before doing so, what the messages contain, and how the consent records are kept. It is published so that drivers, our messaging provider, and carrier compliance reviewers can check the process for themselves.
Each company runs its own delivery contracts and employs its own drivers. Each company sends messages only to its own drivers, and collects consent separately, using the process described on this page.
Who Receives These Messages
Recipients are exclusively drivers who work for Optimal Inc or Collazo Corp. These are not messages to customers, package recipients, or the general public. Nobody is added to this program who does not work for one of our companies, and there is no way for a member of the public to sign up.
What These Text Messages Are
The messages sent through this program are operational notices a driver needs to run a route safely and on schedule. Messages are limited to:
- Road and weather conditions affecting active routes
- Route and schedule changes
- Safety notices
- Procedural and policy updates
- Meeting notices and reminders
This program does not send marketing or promotional messages of any kind.
Examples of messages we send
Optimal Inc: Road advisory. US-30 closed at mile marker 312 due to flooding. Reroute via NE-2. Reply STOP to opt out.
Optimal Inc: Winter weather advisory for Hall County beginning 4:00 AM. Reduce speed and increase following distance. Reply STOP to opt out.
Optimal Inc: Your route for Tuesday has changed. Check the driver portal for updated stops. Questions? Call (402) 631-7287. Reply STOP to opt out.
Optimal Inc: Reminder. All-driver safety meeting Thursday at 7:00 AM at the Grand Island facility. Reply STOP to opt out.
How We Collect Consent
Consent is collected in writing during driver onboarding. There is no verbal opt-in and no public sign-up form.
When a driver is hired, the onboarding paperwork includes a separate, optional SMS consent form. The form discloses the types of messages sent, the message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to opt out. The driver writes in the mobile number they want messages sent to and signs and dates the form. A driver is added to the program only after that signed form is received.
Giving consent is optional and is not a condition of employment or engagement. Drivers who decline, and drivers who later opt out, continue to receive the same road, safety, and operational information through the driver portal and in person at our Grand Island facility.
Consent Form Language
The following is the exact text presented to and signed by each driver. The company name shown is the company that employs the driver.
I agree to receive text messages from Optimal Inc about my work as a driver, including road and weather conditions, route and schedule changes, safety notices, procedural and policy updates, and meeting notices and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. I understand that giving this consent is optional, that it is not a condition of my employment or engagement, and that I may withdraw it at any time by replying STOP or by telling my dispatcher.
Records of Consent
Each signed consent form is retained in the driver’s personnel file. The record includes the driver’s name, the mobile number they provided, the date the form was signed, the exact text of the form presented, and the company representative who collected it. Withdrawals of consent are recorded the same way, with the date and the method used. These records are available for inspection on request by the driver, by our messaging service provider, or by a carrier compliance reviewer.
Message Frequency and Costs
Message frequency varies and depends on route and operating conditions. In a typical week a driver receives a small number of messages; during severe weather or a significant route disruption, that number may be higher. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-Out and Help
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we send a single confirmation message and send no further messages to that number. You may opt back in at any time by replying START. Reply HELP at any time to receive a short message identifying us and telling you how to reach us.
A driver may also withdraw consent by telling a dispatcher or by submitting a written request to the address below. Withdrawing consent has no effect on a driver’s employment or standing.
No Sharing of Mobile Information
Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent information are used solely to deliver the messages described in this program. Coloptics, Optimal Inc, and Collazo Corp do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in information with any third party for marketing purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the messaging service provider we use to deliver messages on our behalf, and only as needed to deliver those messages.
